Let’s start off a new month with more bird photos.

First, there has been a different looking heron hanging around at a nearby farm (the one with the llamas). I got a few pictures of it a few weeks ago. But I was not able to identify what type of heron it was. I email the photos to the Audubon Society for help in identifying it. Their response was that it is a young black-crowned night-heron.

The following birds were seen in our backyard.
