A Year in One Place – July 2004
(Originally posted on the website Continuum…)
Here we are in July already. One quarter of this project is now done! During the month of June, I met a neighbor who lives across from this field. She informed me that the field is considered a flood plain and the stream is classified as a category one waters. This section of land is also home to several species of endangered birds, including the savannah sparrow. The most significant change to this scene was the maturing of the “winter wheat” in the field. (The first photo for this month was taken by my daughter, Hannah.)
